Whey protein?

I WAS GOING TO TRY WHEY PROTEIN BUT DONT WANT TO PUT ANY WEIGHT, IS THIS POSSIBLE AND ANY ADVICE WHICH TO BUY AND HOW MUCH TO TAKE
Answer:
Hi, well you havent really given me to much detail as to why you want to take whey protein but you wont put on fat with whey.
It is a fast absorbing protein that people usually use after a work out to give there muscles back what they lost to keep there body catabolic, meaning that whey feeds the muscle in order to grow.If youre looking to gain muscle and are indeed working out i would suggest drinking one scoop before and after a workout. usually when u buy a tub it is 20 grams of protein. And the rule of thumb is 1 gram per pound of body weight that you weigh. for example if you weigh 200lbs then 200grams a day good luck
Whey protein is low in calories and fat and is very easily absorbed by the body. Before trying it though, why would you need to take a protein supplement ? Is it for improved muscle, recovery after the gym/sport, meal repacement in smoothies etc ? Good brands are Designer Whey, Met Rx, Labrada, Maximuscle, Reflex, Pro Lab and Chemical Nutrition. A lot of people's preference comes from taste and cost. Really though, without knowing why you feel you might need it if it's not weight gain (whey is used a lot by bodybuilders and strength athletes) then it's difficult to advise you.
whey protein will make you gain weight but not in the way you might think, it will build up muscle and people with muscles are often heavy so the out come shouldn't be bad at all. good luck.
I DON'T KNOW JACK,BUT I DON'T THINK ONE CAN GAIN WEIGHT FROM PROTEIN.
TYPICAL STOOPID BRIT QUESTION.I MEAN IF YOU
DON'T WORK OUT.
Why are you considering taking whey protein? If your weight-training and you want to increase muscle mass then the whey protein itself won't make you gain any weight, that is caused by consuming too many calories. If your not doing any exercise then it seems pointless to take a protein supplement. You can get protein from a number of food sources such as eggs, meat, and fish.
Well so far everyone in a way is wrong on here LOL comical reading it to be honest. Whey protein is used to supplement a high protein diet when food is no available or inconvient. Whey protein is especially useful post workout as it is fast absorbing when taken in water, but also at this time some form of carbs are required to transport the proteins to the muscles. I can't be bothered to comment on most peoples answers on here as most are wrong!Be all and end all is that if you require post workout protein whey is most suited, or if you simple need to get more protein other than you base diet, whey protein is usefull.Whey won't make you fat or gain weight, excess calories will.Sorry but i laugh at most your answers here people. Shocking really.
hmm why are you using it then?
