your activity level sounds good, keep it up. But what you may be lacking is more protein in your diet. The initial weight lost may have been water weight and some fat. That's OK, but now it sounds as though the body is using muscle as a fuel( which is a more readily available source) of fuel as opposed to fat. Increase your protein consumption to preserve muscle from breaking down. Muscle is protein, so it takes protein to make and maintain protein.
firstly you may have lost alot of fat weight and gained muscle weight which would result in the scale not changing despite your measurements and health changing. secondly you may be working yourself too hard and putting yourself in starvation mode, thirdly you are not that heavy and perhaps your body break down (muscles, bones, organs) simply won't allow you to be as skinny as you would like
Im no proffesional I'm just a human movement science student. But this may help. It is possible that your body has in a way got used to the same exercise. A great cardio idea is called High Intensity interval training (HIIT). It incorporates a moderate warm up (2mins) A sprint (1min) moderate exercise (1min) keep doing this for around 10-15 mins incuding the warm up. This will burn alot of fat in a short space of time. Your diet sounds a bit scattered, but i may be interpreting it wrong. But a general idea should be cardio on an empty stomach, followed by breakfast, mid morning snack (brunch), lunch, mid afternoon snack (if required), dinner. I guess your a vegetarian, so a fantastic protein source would be lentils or beans. Just make sure your diet includes protein, complex carbs (veggies etc) and unsaturated fats (nuts, fish if you can). Hope that helps. Sorry I couldnt give you more specific advice.
Yes HIIT is great! You may need to be eating a little more, yes some people will stick their noses up at that, but the fact is, sometimes we dont eat enough so we hold onto the fat that is there. We eat just enough to not lose any and not enough to let our body know it really isnt starving! I can give you a detailed plan if you like and couch you online since it sounds like you are out of my area.Contact me at http://www.betterbodiesbycarmel.com/... because you are undereating - in the beginning body loses water weight and muscle, metabolism slows down dramatically and all the food you eat is being stored as fat reserves.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
hi- im no expert-
Do you eat breakfast? if not, then this certainly wont help, as it helps give your body a kickstart for the day, burning calories. Your body has probably got used to the exercise routine- so you need to exercise more or cut back on the calories. Try and use bread made from wholegrains as these are less easily stored as fat because they pass through the digestive tract more quickly.
